WWE: UFC Hall Of Famer Spotted In Performance Center

Tito Ortiz is one of the best UFC fighters to ever grace the octagon. He was a former light heavyweight champion and was the face of the franchise when UFC was in their early stages. He has had classic bouts with Chuck The Iceman Lidell where the two battled it out in a trilogy of mixed martial arts fights.

To this day Ortiz remains to be one of the more influential athletes in the fighting industry. Known as the Huntington Beach Bad Boy, Ortiz has electrified the crowd with his fighting ability and overwhelming confidence. He has a professional fighting record of 21 wins, 10 losses and 1 draw. His final bout came against Forrest Griffin where he lost in three rounds via unanimous decision.

PW Insider by way of Ringside News reported that Ortiz was spotted inside the WWE Performance Center. It appeared to be an introductory meeting where Ortiz was visiting to get a feel of the WWE.

While there has been no formal announcement yet of Ortiz booked for a WWE appearance, it’s been known that the UFC Hall Of Famer is a wrestling fan. He has already had television appearances in the professional wrestling world back in 2005. He served as a special guest referee in Total Nonstop Action. He facilitated the NWA World Heavyweight Championship match of Jeff Jarrett and AJ Styles where Ortiz knocked Jarrett out with a right hook.

Wrestling Inc. reported that he’s always wanted to be a professional wrestler. He adds that he’s had experience with other professional wrestlers with the camps that he’s attended. Although he adds that he will proceed with a little precaution on how he will differentiate the pace of the UFC and WWE.

It appears that Ortiz was in the Performance Center to pick up the ropes on professional wrestling. "I understand the idea that these guys want to entertain. I do get that. But I'm a competitive person, I'm a vicious person," Ortiz said. "So, how do I perceive the difference between a fight and a wrestling match? That's what I'm afraid of.”
